The term "benchmark" is often tossed around loosely, but this Nebbiolo, sourced from an already acclaimed vintage, undeniably lives up to that accolade. Crafted from declassified grapes, primarily from youthful vines, hailing from esteemed Castiglione Falletto Crus including Bricco Boschis, Codana, and Pernanno.
Harvested at yields averaging around 38 hl/ha, the grapes underwent full destemming, with fermentation initiated by indigenous yeasts. Malolactic transformation took place in cement tanks during the subsequent spring after harvest. Following this, the wine was matured for 18 months in Slavonian oak botti and bottled sans filtration.
