The wines of Time Mayer Wines come from a small farm producing hand crafted, single vineyard wine. The winemakers ascribe to the philosophy that that wines are made in the vineyard and so, they try to interfere as little as possible in the natural winemaking process. All the wines, with this outstanding Pinot expression are unfined and unfiltered to show the true expression of the land.

Timo Mayer, the charismatic German-born winemaker, stands out as a Yarra Valley icon. Crafting wines at his 'Bloody Hill' vineyard, he opts for minimal oak and additives, favoring whole-bunch ferment. Timo's wines, now overseen by his talented son Rivar Mayer Ferguson, exude ethereal quality, firm tannins, and impeccable structure. The 2021 release marks the transition to "Bloody Hill" on the label, maintaining superb value. These limited gems narrate a captivating Yarra Valley tale.

Timo Mayer's Close Planted Pinot Noir is a Yarra Valley gem, highly coveted by enthusiasts. Grown on his intimate estate just 8km South of Healesville, it's a wine that often slips into obscurity due to overwhelming demand from devoted fans. This Pinot embodies a slightly wild and intriguing style, with the close plantings creating a vineyard battleground for natural resources, resulting in characterful and intense fruit. Don't miss the chance to experience one of the Yarra's most unique wines – the Close Planted is exceptional, reflecting both individuality and excellence.

Boccaccio Cellars offers real time shipping rates at checkout. These are heavily subsidised rates directly from Australia Post and will vary depending on your postcode.

Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing costs of postage we are unable to offer free shipping any longer. Postal increases have seen the average box of wine range from $30-$60, which can represent up to 500% of the cost of the average bottle of wine.

Your postal costs are calculated on the following factors:

  • Where in Australia you are shipping to (Where rural postcodes obviously attract a higher charge)
  • What in Australia you are shipping (Beer and water for example, are calculated in real time without any additional subsidy. This is because the margins for these products are minimal). Dry goods attract a discounted flat fee of $12 per carton (Calculated by gross weight).

Pickups on all items are encouraged.
